If your company is looking to perfect its branding, then you already know there are so many factors to consider. There are so many common mistakes you can avoid, and there are so many great examples you can follow. Sometimes, you just need the help of an expert to point you in the right direction.

Interview with Beth Williams, Managing Editor at Project Nursery

We had to privilege of speaking to Beth Williams, Managing Editor at Project Nursery. For over eight years, she has helped transform the company into a highly connected community that reaches more than 1.5 million parents, design professionals, influencers and leading brands around the world every month!

Here’s the story of her company, and what we can learn from it’s success.

Where did the idea for Project Nursery come from?

Longtime friends Melisa Fluhr and Pam Ginocchio had their first babies around the same time. After Melisa posted a photo of her son's nursery on a home decorating site and it went viral, the two realized the need for online nursery inspiration—and Project Nursery was born!

As the site grew, a shop where you can find everything you need to create a beautiful nursery seemed like the next logical step, and luckily our readers agreed!

To what/who do you attribute the success of Project Nursery so far?

Our design community! Our readers, customers and industry designers are always at the heart of what we do. We are inspired daily by our user uploaded gallery of children's rooms and by the gorgeous work that the design community produces in the nursery space. Every item that we design or curate for our shop is selected with our community in mind.

What are the company’s hopes for the future?

We are introduced to new moms daily, and it is our hope to continue to grow our reach as the top online destination for trendsetting nursery design, children's decor and gifting.

What have you got to say to people that may be on the fence about trying your products?

We want everyone to have the nursery of their dreams. We always say that the nursery design is really for the parents. You should love your baby's nursery. It will bring you joy every time you step into the space, and you will spend a lot of time there. Our close-knit team works carefully to select what we think are great options for making that nursery of your dreams a reality.

How has using Arka helped your business? How is it different from previous packaging suppliers?

We know that shopping for your baby, even before he or she is born, is one of the most precious experiences. Selecting each item is like imagining who your baby is going to be, so we want our customers' experience at The Project Nursery Shop to be special.

Thanks to Arka, when those items arrive at our customers' homes, they are beautifully packaged with a Hey Baby message right on the box. We also want shoppers to know that they can select a gift from our in stock merchandise for their friends or family, ship it directly there and it will arrive nicely packaged like a present.

If you could give someone that's starting a business just one piece of advice, what would it be?
