- Plan on 19 business days from order to doorstep for a standard order of fewer than 1,000 boxes, or 14 with rush, if you approve the proof the day it arrives. That's 2 for the proof, 10 for production and 7 for shipping, the top of each stated range.
- For holiday 2026, the standard order-by date for Black Friday has passed. Order fewer than 1,000 custom corrugated boxes with rush by Wednesday, Nov 4, for Black Friday, or by Tuesday, Nov 17, to ship Christmas orders by ground (Nov 24 with rush). If you miss the rush date, stock packaging is the backup.

When should you order for the 2026 holidays?
Arka's 2026 holiday order-by dates count back from the day your packaging needs to be in hand. For Black Friday that's Wednesday, Nov 25, because UPS and FedEx don't pick up or deliver on Thanksgiving. For Christmas shipping it's Wednesday, Dec 16, the day before the Dec 17 ground ship-by dates at USPS and on FedEx Ground's 5-day lanes.

What are the steps from artwork to doorstep?
A custom corrugated box order at Arka goes through four steps, each with its own lead time.
- Order and add your artwork. Pick a size in our custom mailer box builder or another box style, then design in our 3D Design Studio or upload a finished file. Order 1 sample box, then production runs from 10 up to 10,000,000 units. Paperboard folding cartons start at 25 units in standard sizes and 250 units in custom sizes, and custom poly mailers start at 100 units.
- Check your proof. Our design team sends a free proof within 2 business days.
- Approve the proof. Custom boxes ship 7–10 business days after you approve the proof. Rush production takes 3–5 business days. Orders of 1,000 or more take an estimated 10–15 business days, and busy seasons or runs of 2,000 or more can take longer.
- Your order ships. Transit may take 1–7 business days or more, depending on your location and carrier volume, and larger orders ship by freight, which takes longer. UPS Ground quotes 1–5 business days, and FedEx Ground quotes 1–5 in the contiguous US. Parcel shipping rarely takes more than a week, though transit delays happen, and for LTL freight we recommend factoring in 1–2 weeks of transit in case of carrier delays.
Our holiday dates add up the top of each stated range, assume you approve the proof the day it arrives, allow 5 business days for stock orders to ship, and skip weekends and Thanksgiving. To leave room for holiday closures, they also don't count Veterans Day (Nov 11) or the day after Thanksgiving (Nov 27) as Arka working days.

A standard run under 250 boxes shipped a median 10 business days after the order, inside the 12 our dates allow for the proof and production. The median order of 250 to 999 boxes used all 12. Orders of 1,000 or more varied the most, with the middle half taking 16 to 30 calendar days, which is why we suggest ordering a week ahead of our holiday dates.
What is the last day to ship for Christmas 2026?
The last day to ship customer orders by ground for Christmas delivery in 2026 is Thursday, Dec 17, the send-by date USPS recommends for Ground Advantage in the Lower 48 and FedEx's last day on its 5-day Ground lanes (FedEx Ground Economy's is Tuesday, Dec 15). For UPS Ground there is no single date; UPS says to check ups.com/ctc for your lane, and its air services' last days to ship are Dec 21 to Dec 23.

How we got these numbers
These figures come from Arka's own Shopify orders on arka.com, counted in totals with no customer details. Days are calendar days from the order to the first shipment record, so they include time spent approving the proof. We removed shipment records that add-on apps create automatically, along with any record created within an hour of the order. We also left out orders with no shipment record, including 16 of the 47 standard orders of 1,000 boxes or more. Each median counts orders that held only that kind of box, and mailer orders of 1 or 2 boxes count as samples. Figures cover October 2025 to September 2026, and a price or quantity band is shown only when at least five customers are in it. The holiday dates are our own business-day math from the lead times above and the carriers' schedules.
