Getting Started

What's the Arka process, step by step?

Firstly, you place an order. Secondly, we'll send you a design proof of your box(es) within 2 business days. Thirdly, once the proof is approved your boxes go into production. And lastly, you'll receive a shipment notification email once your boxes are on their way to you!

How is my price determined?

Your price is determined by the box type, sizing, and material you select. Designs on the outside of the box are free!

If I place a reorder, do I have to re-submit all my artwork again?

Nope! We'll keep a record of your design details (your creation), so reordering is simple and easy.

What file format should I submit my design in?

For images or logo files, we recommend 300dpi or larger in one of the following formats PSD, TIF or JPG. If you'd like to submit your own dieline, files should be vector form; we prefer: EPS, AI or PDF.

Can I order a sample before placing a full production run?

We always recommend just placing a quick 10-box order, that way you can evaluate the designs with your business and friends. If you still prefer a 1-box sample, reach out to support@arka.com about the sample you're looking for and we'll get the sample process going for you.

What is your minimum order quantity?

We have the lowest minimums on the market! Order as little as 10 boxes!

How long is the turnaround time?

For an online order with no proofing iterations, the standard turnaround time is just 10 business days! Any additional proofing iterations can extend that turnaround time!

Do you offer other packaging types, size, or colors?

Yes, we can do any custom packaging! Folding cartons, bubble mailers, sleeves, bottles, etc - you name it! Fill out our Inquiry Form or just email us at support@arka.com with your needs!

Proofing

What file format should I submit my design in?

For images or logo files, we recommend 300dpi or larger in one of the following formats PSD, TIF or JPG. If you'd like to submit your own dieline, files should be vector form; we prefer: EPS, AI or PDF.

What is 300DPI?

It's the dots of a design per inch, very helpful in keeping designs crisp and not blurry when printed. Learn more here!

Printing

What are the differences in print quality of the various materials?

Brown boxes (AKA Kraft) are great for printing dark and bold colors, but the finished box won’t necessarily have the same color intensity as the online preview. White and lighter colors will not show on a brown box. Our designers will check for lighter colors but if vibrant printing is important on your box then we recommend going with a white or glossy white box material instead. The white or glossy materials produce the highest print quality boxes for all colors, especially lighter ones. Adding the gloss finish will not affect the print but simply adds a shiny coat. This cost considerably more but results in a very premium feel for luxury products.

Can I customize the bottom of my box?

Yes, simply email us with the artwork attachment and/ or other specifications of what you'd like to print there. We'll send you a proof to make sure we get it right!

Can I get a blank template or dieline to do myself?

Yep! Just email us at support@arka.com with the box type, dimensions, and material you want, and we'll send you a blank template!

Does it cost more to print on the inside of the box?

Yes, it will cost more to print on both sides of a box. Feel free to reach out to support@arka.com about the type of design you're looking for and additional advice!
